Global Commission on Adaptation Locally Led Adaptation MEL Working Paper

Sophoi worked with WRI to produce a working paper “Reshaping Monitoring, Evaluation andLearning for Locally Led Adaptation”.

We reviewed the opportunities and challenges in MELfor locally led adaptation, as well as consulting a range of actors involved in locally led adaptation MEL. The working paper proposes key considerations relevant throughout the MEL cycle that align with the Global Commission on Adaptation’s Principles for Locally Led Adaptation, including:

  1. Recognition of and response to structural inequalities
  2. Promotion of local agency indecision-making and
  3. Generating value for local stakeholders.
